Comment:

Cough: Tectonic bells and harsh sound. They very quickly impose an atmosphere made of heaviness and malfeasance. We found again this alternating song, sometimes near to Black Metal vocals, another times clear and bewitching vocals. A gluey, black, greasy and sticky nineteen-minutes track/soup.

The Wounded Kings: This second track is less harsh, but not less intense at all. Curse of Chain is black, stifling, captivating and addictive. Much more occult than any sadness expression. Behind classy airs tinged with unhealthy grandiosity, The Wounded Kings offer us  fifteen-minutes of refreshingly hypnotic Doom. I also want to note the use of the (mythical) Hammond organ.
Maybe (even certainly) my favorite split!

Comment:

Corrosive mist and total despair: An album that grabs you and doesn’t release you. The singer seduces you with his clear and ethereal voice (supported by melodic solos) to better torture your soul with a voice that suddenly becomes disembodied, torn, shrill and eructated. This music draw a cruel and abject world, where resound the echoes of monolithic riffs which ooze the old and filthy Electric Wizard. You'll get deeper and deeper in some sort of lethargic state.
Ritual Abuse in 3 words: Psychotropic, Disembodied, Exit (?)
